Vick earns weekly ACC honors

Much to my surprise (and delight), Marcus Vick has been playing practically flawless football for us this season. The redshirt junior straight outta' Newport News has been one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the nation, and this week's performance was just another testament to that statement.

Marcus Vick, who accounted for three touchdowns (and no turnovers) in Saturday's whoopin' of West Virginia, was named the ACC's Co-Offensive Back of the week today, sharing the award with Wake Forest QB Cory Randolph. Here's a quick breakdown of each of their performances.

Marcus Vick, Virginia Tech Quarterback, #5
15-17 Completions / 177 Passing Yards / 2 TDS - 0 INTS
12 Rushes/ 74 Yards / 1 TD

Cory Randolph, Wake Forest Quarterback, #17
20-25 Completions / 222 Passing Yards / 3 TDS - I INT
12 Rushes / 10 Yards / 1 TD

On the season as a whole, Vick has thrown for 880 yards and 9 touchdowns to go along with only 1 interception. Add to that the fact that he's getting yards on the ground too, as he's ran for 131 yards and 2 scores, and is yet to fumble once. Like I said, practically flawless football. This kid is for real.
